Spent some time today going through the course materials for the first time and organising where I'm going to make a start with the exercises in the Introductory module leading up to the non-assessed 'Contrasts' assignment.  I got hold of a copy of Michael's Freeman's "The Photographers Eye: Composition and Design for Better Digital Photos" and found it to be a great companion to the OCA course notes, building on a number of the key themes.

Of course, having decided what it is I want to do and thought about some likely local locations, I now need to get out there and shoot some photographs ...
