So, that’s the end of the introductory ‘Getting to know your camera’ project then .. It’s been an interesting experience and one from which I have learned a lot.  Although I have experimented with the influence of aperture and shutter speed on the outcome of a shot many times before, it has always been within a fairly narrow zone around what I thought would be optimal for the shot I had in mind.  The exercises took me to a much wider spectrum of settings and I was surprised to see the appearance of some quite pleasing images at settings I would never have contemplated previously.  I shall especially experiment with some slower shutter speeds than I would normally consider as the course develops.

So, it’s onwards to ‘The Frame’ .....
